Obituary of Ronald Studebaker

Ronald Studebaker, 70, of Sumner WA died on Friday 1/25 at 5:48 p.m. at the home he shared with his wife, Linda Studebaker, for more than 40 years. Ron was born in Seattle on August 31, 1948 to Betty McClean and Maurice Studebaker. Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years and the love of his life for more than 57 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Tammy Ring and Kim Rose; his son-in-law, Scott Rose and his four grandsons, Ronnie Ring, Michael Rose, Scott Rose and Knight Ring. He is also survived by his brothers Dennis Studebaker, Chuck Studebaker, Mike Studebaker and his sisters Marie Zimmerman Reed and Judi James, and cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his Sister, Nancy Dove. Ron grew up in Tacoma Washington where he attended Keithly Jr. High and Clover Park High School. Ron started driving semi- truck at the age of 16 and worked as a delivery driver for Sysco for almost 40 years and retired from Sysco at the age of 59. Ron loved nature and the outdoors and spent many years camping throughout the NW, visiting canyons in Utah and Arizona and dreaming of Alaska. Ron was an avid reader and collector of books. He loved history, poetry and spent many a lunch breaks and weekends immersed in a good story. Ron was a gardener and a lover of animals, for which he cared for all his life.
