To my father and uncle, Ralph for some reason or other was always known as Bill. They all grew up together in the tiny little village of South Slocan in the interior of British Columbia. Lots of stories about overnights when they would hike into some high mountain pass to catch trout.
Ralph had a big influence on my father who Ralph told dad that the University of Idaho had the best school of forestry there was, so Dad goes there and I ended up being born in Moscow, Idaho.
They were close. I remember '62 and Ralph taking us on the new monorail, built for the worlds's fair. Ralph kindly let us stsy at their home.
When my mother passed, Ralph drives all the way to Sandpoint, Idaho to attend.
I liked Ralph, always a positive attitude.
Rest well, Ralph,
