Obituary of Colleen Fullmer

Colleen Fullmer, of Everett, WA passed away on December 29,2020 surrounded by family in her home. She was 66 years old. Her death came after a recent diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer.

Colleen was born to Melvin Clifford Patrick and Renee Bailey Boyter in LaGrande, OR on January 14,1954. She was the oldest sibling to David, Marianne, and Kevin. She graduated from LaGrande High School and attended Brigham Young University earning her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. She then served a welfare service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Indonesia and the Philippines for 18 months. She started her career with the Utah State Extension in Moab, UT. She married Bart Fullmer in January 1985 in the Boise, ID temple. She worked for Washington State University Extension in the expanded food and nutrition education program, SNAP ED, and strengthening families program. She enjoyed the opportunities her career offered her to serve her community. She was dedicated to her career for over 30 years and retired in 2019. She is predeceased by her father Melvin and brother Kevin. She is survived by her husband Bart, son Paul (Stesha), daughter Julianne (Ryan), 2 granddaughters Paisley and Parker, mother Renee, brother David (Rena), and sister Marianne (Mike).

Colleen found joy in this life through serving others. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She always said the most important things in her life were her faith, family, and friends. She was kind, compassionate, and thoughtful of others. In her last days she asked for thank you notes to be brought to the hospital even though she did not have strength to write these notes. She was very talented in cross stitching, sewing, and cooking. She worked hard in all she did, especially to make people feel important and valued.

Due to current restrictions a private funeral service will be held on January 9, 2020. In lieu of flowers or gifts please make a donation to your charity of choice or help someone in need, as Colleen would have tried to do.
